Intel, Hewlett-Packard, Google looking to outsource R&D in Asia

Asian countries like Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia are the latest to enter the fray of Research and Development outsourcing. Although the strongest players in Asian R&D remain China and India, these countries also make good choices. Companies like Intel, Philips etc. have already moved in, while others like Google are waking up to the opportunities in Southeast Asia. The presence of highly skilled individuals trained in the U.S. or U.K. and quality developments in home grown research are contributing to this development.
