The Build, Operate and Transfer model, employed extensively in the early years of the of software services off shoring to India, now has a new taker— the business process outsourcing [BPO] firms. Unlike software services that couldn’t grapple properly with BOT, interestingly, the concept appears to be working well for the BPO's. BOT is very much in demand in the high-end BPO space such as analytics and knowledge process outsourcing (KPO), where companies are looking to enter India to set up captives.
