BBC criticized for outsourcing deal indiscrepancies

BBC's £1.5bn IT outsourcing deal with Siemens Business Services is facing flak from UK MPs for overestimated cost savings and for delayed and over-budget project management. In a report by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), savings for the first year was cited to have fallen 38 percent short of the figure quoted by BBC. The committee slammed the BBC's approach to the outsourcing contract as distinctly second-rate.
